At La Quinta you can enjoy the experience of playing golf in one of the best golf courses on the Costa del Sol, situated in the heart of the Golf Valley, only 5 minutes from Puerto Banus.

The planning of La Quinta is implemented around three 9 hole golf courses each permitting different combinations for playing 18 holes. Designed in 1990, it satisfies both the golf enthusiasts, as well as, the professional. It involves a course that is very straightforward and entertaining, which adapts to all levels of play. Its difficulty lies in the sloping fairways and deep bunkers.

La Quinta Golf Club has 27 holes, divided into 3 courses of 9 holes, which can be combined to have more playing options. The course A San Pedro has open fairways and short yardage, therefore, woods and long irons are mainly used on this course. The course B Ronda, a fabulous course with narrow fairways and more difficult greens. Surrounded by amazing houses and villas from the Spanish high society, this uphill course leads to the Ronda mountains. Finally, the course C Guadaiza. Although this course is easier than course B, there are many slopes and a few dog legs.

The underlying idea in the design of Los Arqueros was to create a course which followed the lie of the land and blended harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Seve took this philosophy to heart when designing the course, and each hole has its own particular personality. The result is a challenging course for the experienced player and a genuine test for those who are new to the game.

The course requires accurate play, especially in some tight tee shots where you may have to forego distance in your drive and opt instead for shorter irons or woods which ensure that the ball reaches the fairway. Hole 8 is especially tricky, as it is a long par 5, with a tight dogleg towards the right which slopes sharply downhill to the green, and a hazardous out-of-bounds area finishing in a stream at the entrance to the green.

Watch out too for the 13th hole, with its high tee requiring an accurate and hard-hitting drive to a downhill area guarded by bunkers, and where only careful play will ensure that you save the par. The 3rd hole is also excellent, with a lake to the left of the fairway and a scattering of wide bunkers on the right - but it requires more attention than expected to finish successfully. However, the most difficult hole is the 6th, as it is not only the longest, but the tee-off shot is the decisive one. Therefore, this is a demanding course which requires a calculated game, and where you cannot afford to take many risks if you want to make your handicap.

Set in beautiful natural surroundings and close to the Mediterranean Sea, Flamingos Golf Club offers an exquisite atmosphere, the most advanced facilities and a personalised service that allows you to enjoy and appreciate every little detail.  The greens are generously sized whilst its fairways are somewhat narrower on the front nine, where more precision playing is required than on the back nine. The bunkers are white marmolina sand. The fairways are sown with Bermuda, except on certain holes where grass has been used, whilst the greens and tees have been sown with Pencross.

In its short history, Flamingos Golf Club has already attained well-deserved international renown for the high level of quality it offers and for having been, for three consecutive years, the venue for the European Senior´ Final, 'The Daily Telegraph European Seniors´ Match Play Championship'.  The club currently has two courses, 'Flamingos Golf', and the recently inaugurated 'Gran Flamingo Golf Club'. And will shortly be opening 'Flamingos Executive Golf Club', and in the future, the 'Flamingo Norte'

Measuring 6.500 meters from the professional tees the par-72 18-hole course features wide fairways, strategically placed hazards and large undulating greens. Monte Mayor opened in 1989.  The golf course is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty.  The course lies in the valley of Monte Mayor itself, which is crowned by the ruins of a 10th century Moorish fort.  Monte Mayor is frequently voted in the Top 5 as a MUST to be played.

Rio Real is named after the River Real, which comes into play on several of the fairways. It is a scenic course even though it is, on the whole, flat.

This par-71 18-hole golf course designed by Enrique Canales Busquets, has been created with respect for the natural environment of indigenous wildlife and vegetation, providing a fantastic meeting place for golf enthusiasts. Read more >>

Santa Clara Golf Marbella presents a technically challenging but straightforward and pleasant round, wide fairways with few roughs and open greens without pronounced slope. The course is highlighted by the "Santa Clara Corner" formed by the 12th, 13th and 14th holes, a perfect combination of pars 4, 3 and 5, which requires the golfer to make long and accurate shots.
